Sam Kanter Events, while a new company, has been developing for a long time. As a child she was always accused of making hors d'oeuvres out of her food and she hasn't stopped since. Sam has been in the industry since 2007, and experienced all sides of the event process by filling numerous roles in the restaurant world. Sam fell in love with the restaurant industry, becoming passionate about using food and beverage as a way to make people happy.  She had a chance to explore this opportunity when she was pulled into events in 2010 when her superior saw potential and asked her to interview for the position.  Managing events for dante and il casale from 2010-2012 she found that helping clients celebrate their important day, taking care of all of the details, and making a host look good in front of family friends and coworkers, brought as much joy to her as it did to her clients.  She eventually took their events to a whole new level, turning Dante into a wedding venue and expanding their events department significantly.  She then moved on to Big Night Entertainment Group in 2013, managing events for Empire and Red Lantern. Throughout her experience, Sam saw the ins and outs of large scale events and realized she could take care of all of the details herself, save her client money by making smart choices, and do it better without the constraints of a corporate office.  She ventured out on her own to create Sam Kanter Events.

Concept

Sam Kanter Events has a different concept than most event planning companies.  SKE has created partnerships with venues so clients do not pay extra to work with her. She creates the event around the client, instead of trying to fit the client into the restrictive box of a venue. This allows clients to use SKE for all of their event needs as she can offer different spaces, locations and cuisine for each unique event you plan. SKE is a personal event concierge without any additional cost. SKE is restaurant focused and inspired by food and beverage. Additionally, Sam is on the pulse of our ever changing society; always adjusting to incorporate new trends.  Well versed in social media, Sam ensures your event is modern, up to date, and in touch with your clientele.  By closely working with chefs, owners, staff and clients, Sam uses this new concept  to allow clients to get exactly what they're looking for by placing the client in the ideal space for their specific event and group.
